Who is the ideal candidate for cryolipolysis

Ideal candidates are relatively fit but have small amounts of stubborn body fat that cannot be easily reduced by diet or exercise.

Why should I choose cryolipolyis?

The procedure is non-invasive. It is an effective alternative for those wanting to avoid the higher cost, pain, risk, and recovery time associated with surgery. There are no long-term or significant side effects. Anesthesia and pain medication are also not needed.

What areas are most commonly treated?

The lower abdomen, the flanks, love handles, saddle bags, bra bulges, back fat or flabby knees. This is not a procedure for weight loss or for people who are obese. It works best for people who have isolated pockets of resistant fat. Cryolipolysis can be used to reduce “male breasts” but cannot be used to treat female breast tissue.

What does it feel like during the procedure?

As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel pressure and intense cold. This soon dissipates. Many people read, work on their laptop, or even take a nap during their treatment A vacuum applicator is placed on the skin to bring it into contact with cooling panels. Patients feel a cold sensation for a few minutes, as it produces an anesthetic effect. The fat is cooled for up to an hour.

Can Cryolipolysis be combined with other treatments?

If there are areas of hardened fat such as the saddle bags that need to be treated, it is recommended that during the first 2 to 4 weeks after the Cryolipo™ treatment additional treatments such as Radiofrequency, Lipolaser, based treatments which can be performed to soften the fat, tighten the skin and thus both speeding up and improving the results. After the first Cryolipo™ procedure, clients can start immediately these auxiliary treatments to improve skin tightening and drainage of the treated areas.

How to prepare for the procedure

Before the procedure, the nutrionist or dietician will review the patient’s medical history.

What to expect after the procedure

Cryolipolysis has no recovery time; patients can resume their normal activities the same day. Cryolipolysis therapy typically requires multiple treatment sessions to see visible results. This depends on the individual, the fat thickness, and the area treated. Changes happen over a number of weeks, 12 weeks being the estimated time to see the maximum result, although some of our clients begin to see changes at around 2 weeks. In clinical trials 12 weeks post treatment, 9 out of 10 people saw an undeniable reduction in the treated area

Where does the fat go

The fat is metabolized gradually and painlessly eliminated through urine.

When you treat fat in one area, what happens to the fat cells in the rest of my body? Do they move/compensate?

Once the fat cells are destroyed, those cells are eliminated. Fat is not able to regrow again in the same area that was treated. There is no risk of fat from other areas moving over to the treated area to compensate.

How long do the results last?

If you follow the diet plan recommended by dietician and lead an active life then the results are permanent.

Possible risks

Redness in the treated area lasting no more than a few hours. Localized bruising that usually clears within a few hours.

**Note : Result may vary from person to person and case to case
